Laws regarding workplace pensions have changed under the Pensions Act 2008, every employer in the United Kingdom must now put certain staff who qualifies into a pension scheme and contribute towards it – this is ‘ automatic enrolment ‘.
If anyone who works for you on your staging date will be:
- Aged between 22 and up to state pension age.
- Earns more than £833 per month (£192 per week / Minimum £10,000 per annum)
You are an employer who has to provide a pension scheme.[i]
