Kristen Cunliffe
Managing Director
Managing Director Kristen has worked in the financial service profession since 1998, she qualified in 2001 shortly before her daughter Izzy was born. Since then she has gained qualifications in Mortgage Advice, Equity Release (Lifetime Mortgages), Customer Services in a Regulated Environment and Trusts. She is studying to become a Chartered Financial Planner.
Her clients are both private individuals and corporate entities.
Kristen launched Red Star Wealth in April 2011 to be able to deliver exceptional customer service in a professional but approachable style.
Not one to stand still for long, Kristen with her husband Nick run Red Star Education, providing financial literacy education and promoting financial wellbeing. She is passionate about travel, art, music and gardening.
Paul Gardner
Consultant
Paul has had more than 30 years experience of providing investment advice for his clients. This includes 20 years on behalf of a major insurance company and the last 10 years as an Independent Financial Adviser.
For investments, the areas that Paul specialises in include investments for growth or income, and advice on inheritance tax planning including the use of trusts. Paul also has specialist qualifications in the field of pension planning, which includes advice on the many options available at retirement.
Paul lives in Preston with his wife and 2 boys and has a keen interest in playing the guitar badly.
Gary Wilde
Consultant
Gary joined Red Star at the end of June 2021 and has worked in the financial services industry for over thirty years.
The early part of Gary’s career was working for product providers assisting independent financial advisers with their client work. For the latter part (sixteen years and counting), Gary has worked as an independent financial adviser directly advising his own clients regarding their investment and pension requirements.
Gary’s interests outside work are largely sport related particularly golf and following the (mis)fortunes of Sunderland Football Club. He also listens to a wide variety of music and attends the occasional gig but has not seen in a moshpit for many years!
Bodge
The Office Dog / Guard Dog
Bodge is the Red Star office dog. Rescued by Kristen and Nick in July 2016 after being mistreated, she does not like to be left alone so works with us daily, that is unless she is on loan to Pot Bound where our daughter Izzy also takes her to work. Her favourite toys are a stuffed sheep teddy and a meerkat – all a little dog eared now.
Izzy Durose
Social Media Manager
Izzy is responsible for the company’s social media and marketing activities alongside being the artist in residence and Bodge’s favourite human.
